What's on the Horizon?

In addition to returning next year with My Brother Marvin, the stage play, we are working on a screenplay of our family's story, based on the books by my sister, Jeanne, and me. Yes, Jeanne's book, "Bittersweet," about our beautiful, God-fearing mother, Alberta Gay, our siblings, my father, Marvin Gay, Sr., and ancestors, will be out next year! We are all so proud and excited. Jeanne and I are Marvin's two remaining  siblings and want to make sure you know all you ever wanted to know about the truth of our family's incredible journey.

Stay tuned...

A Message from Zeola...

To me, a thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue but the father of all other virtues. I have a thankful heart right now. My journey did not end when the tour of My Brother Marvin, The Man Behind the Music, stage play ended in Long Beach May 26, 2013. My struggles ended and my gratitude began. Thank you to my wonderful cast, my playwright, Angela Barrow Dunlap, my promoters, Detroit Touring Co., and a huge thank you to all of you who supported my play.

Even though the owners of Marvin's music catalog refused to let us to pay for licensing, in a futile attempt to stop us from moving forward, my story was told anyway. I wanted to include Marvin's music for your enjoyment, but I couldn't be happier that our audiences were so receptive, the press was kind, and most of all God was (no, IS) good. Our play was a complete success and we look forward to bringing it back to you again this fall!
